Music in the Vines set to host its biggest event yet in Macarthur this February

Macarthur’s very own festival, Music in the Vines has officially sold out of tickets within 12 days tickets sales opening.

1,000 people from across the district are expected to picnic and dance the night away on Saturday 5 February at Suffoir winery, brewery, distillery and cellar door.

The strong demand for the festival this year was undoubtedly driven by the easing of COVID-19 restrictions. It presents an opportunity for friends and families to come together for a great day out.

Pierce Brothers, a popular duo with a cult following are headlining this year, with a stellar lineup of supporting acts including Bones and Jones, That Gold Street Sound, Little Georgia, Jade Alice and Kinnon. Early arrivers at the festival will catch our 2022 Emerging Talent Competition, showcasing the region’s best up-and-coming musicians.

“The Committee are ecstatic with the interest in our upcoming festival,” said Music in the Vines President Pieter Badenhorst. “Many businesses and events have done it tough during the pandemic, and we’ve been no exception. We are overwhelmed with the support from the community and surrounding towns. It’ll be our biggest event yet.”

Music in the Vines new date announced

September 24, 2021

Music in the Vines new date

The Music in the Vines committee has been working hard behind the scenes to pull together a stella concert for February 2022.

With a crazy two years, the committee is excited to produce an event for the region and give people something to celebrate.

The 2022 event will see a date change with the annual concert pushing forward a month to be held on Saturday, February 5 in the picturesque surrounds of Suffoir Winery, Macarthur.

Music in the Vines committee president, Pieter Badenhorst hoped the change of date would only encourage people to purchase tickets with weather more likely to be in their favour.

“There were a couple of factors leading to the date change, but as always we hope for good weather, a great crowd and a great celebration,” he said.

“Organising the event during COVID has been challenging, however we are managing to lock in a great line up of artists to perform on the day and we really look forward to sharing that with everyone soon.

“With restrictions easing in the coming months, it’s exciting to host an event friends and families can plan for with confidence.

“As usual, we will have buses running to and from the event and again we will welcome an Emerging Talent section to the day.

“The entertainment industry has been one of the hardest hit through COVID so we are excited to welcome artists to our stage, and particularly share the talent within our region in the Emerging Talent section.”

With COVID restrictions likely still in place, tickets to the event will be limited.

Ticket sales will go live at on October 14, with the artist line up announced in the weeks prior.
